Frittenbude (D) Berlin/München

Frittenbude. Electro punk. Clever, stylish and exhausting. You won’t find any signs of an introverted adolescence that barely illuminates a dark room but you will most certainly find a live band who write songs and have something to say. Frittenbude make music with a fair portion of aggression, anarchy and self destruction for listeners‘ brains and dance equipment and fall into the techno and electro-bounce bracket. The kids love to find themselves somewhere in the lyrics and party with the boys whilst yesterday merges into today and tomorrow. This is where the focus of the dark side of the colourful parties always lays. Imitation panda bears with bloodshot eyes meet beautiful and wonderfully deranged girls who are running away from who they really are and playing the endless game of searching for a partner, a game that always ends by the break of daylight signalling the return to reality
Whilst other parts of German society and in particular the music scene rock themselves to sleep, 3 boys and their teddy bear go completely off the rails whilst the sun shines out of their arse in an unexplainable and nearly unbearable manner. Falling asleep to music is so yesterday. Here we have pop music that guarantees to keep you awake. Only people who want to like it will like it or in other words those who are not too dignified to put up with it. Not a reflector of our time but rather a megaphone at your ear , a fist in gear, a grain of sand in your eye, the little devil on the angel’s shoulder on the ape‘s shoulder on the devil’s back on the neck of society.
